Traction units come in all shapes and sizes for virtually all parts of the body. Their purpose is to relieve tention on the particular part of the body that is injured or in pain, and hopefully, reduce the pain and allow for healing. Home ervical were popular back in the 70's and 80's but have fallen out of fashion in the last 10-15 years or so as they can tend to do more damage than good. However, what we have assembled here are a collection of pixs of cervical traction units from the last 30 or so years. If you have any pixs of cervical or spinial traction you would like to submit, please feel free to do so and we will gladly post them here.




I think the overhead cervical traction units are still available over the counter at your local drug store or a medical supply shop. However, there are quite a few out there since they are so widely used. A good place to look for this type of brace is on E-Bay, thrift stores or 2nd hand store. Also keep checking the ad board on this site or some of the other sites listed in the links section of NBAK.
